Baizor International Chinese Smart Teaching Platform Officially Launched

On May 15, 2023, the Baizor International Chinese Smart Teaching Platform launch was held in Xiamen. Experts and representatives from education, technology, and international Chinese education attended.

Launch highlights

Integrated smart teaching solution

The Lab officially released the Baizor International Chinese Smart Teaching Platform — an integrated software-hardware solution with four pillars:

  • Teaching software: Teaching management, Chinese teaching activities, smart teaching support
  • AI services: Speech recognition (≥95%), synthesis, assessment (speaking/essay/text), smart tutoring
  • Teaching resources: Six categories of multimodal resources (listening, speaking, reading, writing, exams)
  • Lab equipment: Cloud desktop, smart blackboard, multimodal screens, and full hardware environment

AI for international Chinese education

The platform provides four core AI capabilities; assessment covers speaking (for L2 learners), essay (AIGC grading), and text difficulty (grammar-point detection). Smart tutoring includes ability profile, recommended exercises, and knowledge map.

Industry-education cooperation

Strategic agreements were signed to promote smart reform in international Chinese education. Partners will cooperate on AI R&D, teaching resources, and teacher training for an integrated “industry-academia-application” ecosystem.

Guest remarks

The host stated: “The launch of the Baizor platform is an important step in implementing the national education digitalization strategy. We will use this to advance high-quality development of international Chinese education.”

Results so far

The platform has been deployed in many universities and was selected as a Fujian ‘AI+Education’ typical application case and a CIFTIS Service Demonstration Case. It has trained 2,000+ overseas Chinese teachers from 22 countries and served 5,000+ learners.

Outlook

The Lab will continue to integrate AI with international Chinese education and complete the platform 2.0 upgrade in 2024, expanding use of LLMs and agents for smarter, more personalized solutions worldwide.
