Government-Industry-Academia-Application Synergy: National Language Service Export Base and Its 'Six One' Goals

On April 21, 2023, Fujian FTZ Xiamen Area Management Committee, Jimei District People’s Government, and the university signed the agreement to co-build the National Language Service Export Base and held the inauguration. This innovative “government-industry-academia-application” model marks a new stage in the construction of China’s language service export bases.

FTZ Director He Dongning said resources and strengths would be combined to build an influential language and culture industry hub. Jimei Party Secretary Hu Xubin pledged full support so the base becomes an important platform for trade in services and cultural trade.

The base director set the “Six One” development goals:

  2. One language education product series — Serialized language education products
  3. One set of language service export brands — Internationally influential brands
  4. One batch of supports for Chinese enterprises going global — Language services for enterprises
  5. One cluster of language service enterprises — Industrial agglomeration
  6. One language service public resource platform — Open public service platform

The base will pave the road of language services and build the bridge of cultural exchange for deeper innovation in trade in services and Sino-foreign cultural exchange.

On inauguration day, the base signed with 12 strategic partners, including Phoenix Shangpin (Xiamen), Xiamen Yunzhixin (AI unicorn Cloudwise), Shenzhen NewTrans, Beijing Biling Oriental Education, Xiamen Xiangyu Group, Xiamen Mengjia Network, and others.
